28" or 30"
28" or 30"
On fox guns what do most people like 28" or 30" barrels I have found a B grade 28" gun but I like 30" guns the best. Donnie
Re: 28" or 30"
Guns with 26 and 28 inch barrels suit me best most of the time but I have a 12 ga. with 30 inch 4 weight barrels that handles nicely. It is the only 30 inch Fox I own.

It's like chocolate and vanilla, some prefer chocolate--while others prefer vanilla...I prefer a 12-ga. to have 30" bbls., but a subgauge with 28" bbls.is pretty sweet.

Re: 28" or 30"
I find that 30-inch barrel 12-gauges were far and away the most common Fox doubles with 28-inch barrel 12s in second place. I say I like long barrels, but in reality the two Fox doubles I shoot the most are 3-weight 28-inch barrel 12-gauges with straight grips.

Re: 28" or 30"
I have a 30" 1906 A grade that handles just great, very light gun, cosmetically challenged, and I shoot it as well as any I have owned. But, I just acquired an early 26" B grade, heavy barrels, that swings through clays quickly, and surprising to me, I shoot this new-to-me B grade well also. For me, not just barrel length, but balance, stock dimensions/thickness, are considerations. Scott

Bought another 30" 12 ga. last week, so I own two with long barrels not one. Have not received it yet and have no idea how it handles. The gun and I will get acquainted next weekend.
