Fox barrel weights.

I'm sorry gentlemen I know the chart showing the various barrel weights and corresponding number for fox barrels has been posted before but I can't seem to find my copy. Would someone be kind enough to post it again.

Twice, the charts are in MM's Fox book; I don't remember seeing them here.

Just a couple of comments on the charts - the weights shown are the rough weights before striking, thus unmolested factory barrels will weigh < than the weights shown in the book. How much less? Depends on the gauge and how much striking was done. To complicate things it seems heavy weight barrels were heavily struck if a specific gun weight was ordered and lighter weight tubes were out of stock. For example I have a set of 12 gauge 32" #2 marked Krupp tubes on one gun that weigh about 6 ounces < than another set of 12 gauge 32" # 2 marked Krupps on another one. That makes for a huge difference in swing dynamics. I like the heavier gun but a friend I shoot with, a good shot, thinks the lighter one is a magic wand. Go figure.....

Net, IMO the best test of how a barrel set/gun will "feel" is doing a comparison with other Fox barrels of the same gauge and length. Silvers

Thanks Silvers I guess that is where I saw them. I will look through the Fox book again more diligently. Your points on barrel weight stamping not necessarily correlating with final finished barrel weights supports my own understanding and observations. I have several sets of barrels that have been heavily struck to the point that the original barrel weight markings have been filed off.
