If I keep the gun I'll post pics, I've encountered some issues with it.....1. the bbls are a bit loose with the forend off, so the action may need some work 2. the stock has a slight crack aft of the tang, 3. the muzzles are quite thin 4. the repair at the stock toe that was described as "small...

20 ga Utica Sterly Choke Question

Just bought a 20 ga Sterly, 28" bbls and it's choked CYL/MOD and marked so on the bbls. Is this an unusual configuration for chokes? Incidentally, the seller advertised it as IC/MOD....the CYL choking doesn't really bother me but just curious......?

I had a similar dilemna, although my stock wasn't quite so marred up. I roughed it up very lightly with 0000 steel wool and then put a couple of light coats of truoil on it. Lastly, 2 coats of wax. The truoil blended in with the original stock finish well, and sealed the bare spots. Stock looks much...

Scott--thanks for that post, very cool. My SW must be the "Deluxe Grade" as it has two Ivory beads.

Where did you get that? I'd like a copy too. Thanks again.

You guys are great....but I keep thinking up new questions......my bbls have no marks indicating their weight, is this normal or am I not looking in the proper spot (just afore the bbl flats)

The checkering is as new, some warn off spots on the finish but was thinking of applying a little Truoil....any ideas on that? No BBL dents, couple of bluin...

Just picked it up this AM for $600, took it out this afternoon and bagged two Pheasants. Missed one other hen. Pics to follow.
