I believe he retired from Savage about 1971 or 72. To my knowledge the rib matting machine and other equipment is still in the cellar. jlrsbj

Mitzie Bielen after he retired from Savage Arms, continued to repair , re-stock , fit barrels etc from his workshop in the cellar of his home. He bought all the remaining parts , wood, barrels , fixtures and waht he needed to continue what he did at Savage. JLRSBJ

You betcha! Come bird seaon, which is short in Mass., I hunt with a 20 ga Sterlingwoth Field. I have other guns to hunt with, but just dont want to carry anything else but the A.H.Fox. Mine is a 2 barrel set. 1 set in M&F, the other is IC&M. I can go all day and not be tired at the end after...
