Re: Double Gun Journal

I believe his son died unexpectedly in May. That could be part of the delay. I'll keep the faith for now.

Re: Questions about parking at the Southern

I've never had any trouble parking inside if I got there early. Many years I just park along the road. It's a short walk.

Re: Double Gun Journal

Just ordered mine. Was told end of May or first week of June for shipping. Just purchased the entire set back to 1989 including the two previous indexes. Getting this one was a no brainer.

Re: Beesley Sidelock

The goal of the day was to make a deal on a Fox CE straight grip I had my eye on for over a year. Could not come to terms so I ended up with this. Maybe next year.....

Beesley Sidelock

For 44whiskey

This is the Beesley side lock I picked up at the Southern SxS. Some of the screws are a bit buggered but this will be a shooter so no worries. It has a sister gun out there somewhere.

Straight grip Fox CE with 28" 3 or 4 weight barrels choke improved/modified. Seems to be a unicorn.

Re: Cut Stock

The LOP to the remaining wood approximately 13 1/8". The LOP was 14 1/8" from the factory. If you left the 3/8" ebony spacer and added a pad it would solve one problem. The other problem is the effect on value and ultimately final price.

Cut Stock

I posted this on the member forum but thought it might be good to post here as well. I am looking at an A grade that has the stock shortened by 1 inch. It's a shame because is is a beautiful piece of wood, one of the best I've seen on an A. The current owner has a spacer inserted between the butt an...
