Thanks for all of the excitement. Responding to ROMAC's question- My grandfather was a country doctor in NJ who loved collecting guns amongst many other things. While it is possible that he was the original owner (my grandmother was from Philadelphia) I imagine he bout the gun sometime in the 40's. ...

I want to do my best to preserve it as best as I can. I have read that Renaissance Wax is a preferred method for keeping it from deteriorating. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated as everyone here is far more knowledgeable than I am at this point. Thanks.

Thanks! Unfortunately I don't think my grandfather or father really appreciated it or realized how special it is. The were both focused on collecting rifles and I think just dismissed it because it was a shotgun. My grandfather bought it originally for my aunt, his youngest daughter. I am really jus...

Hi folks. I am new to the forum but have been reading over previous postings and everyone seems friendly and helpful. I thought I would share some photos of my Fox shotgun that I inherited from my grandfather. It is a Grade B and it is No.5. It still has the original tag with Ansley Fox's signature....
