Woody,
How do the 3/4 oz loads do on game and clays? I've typically used 1 oz so I'm curious how much of a difference the reduction in shot volume makes? I typically shoot clays with family using a trailer hitch thrower so not crazy distance. I'd imagine up close it doesn't matter too much.

Reloading RST shells
Hello All, I have a couple hundred fired RST 12 gauge 2 1/2" hulls. I would like to reload them but I have struggled to find documented load information for the (apparently Cheddite) hulls in this length. I am wondering if anyone knows of a reloading manual that includes data for this hull or h...

Re: Non-toxic load alternatives
I am shooting a 12 gauge. Not a huge fan of the cost of the RST shells but I don't shoot a ridiculous volume of shells so its not too bad

Re: Non-toxic load alternatives
I looked into buying directly from RST a while back and they were out of stock but I just checked and they have them in now. I'll go ahead and buy a box but I am curious about other sources. I haven't tried the Rio shells but they seem a little hot compared to the RSTs. I know a lot of people tend t...

Non-toxic load alternatives
Hello all, I attempted to purchase some RST Bismuth 2.5" 1oz #6 shells a little while back from ballistic resource. They have been on backorder since I ordered them in late June and the other day I got a call saying that they could not fill the order. My question is, does anyone know of a simil...

A Sterlingworth makes a nice Chukar gun
I bought this 1931 Sterlingworth around Christmas time and finally got it out to Quail Run in Colorado to do some hunting with it with some friends. 3 of the birds were mine and the gun was absolutely perfect!

Re: 1931 Sterlingworth and modern ammunition
So I have some Hevi-Shot Classic doubles 2 3/4" non-toxic shells. They are 1 1/8 oz, 1150 fps #4. Would it be a bad idea to fire these shells in my Fox next duck season? I only have 10 of them so it wouldn't really be a high volume thing. I've read that 2 3/4" shells made for vintage guns ...

Re: 1931 Sterlingworth and modern ammunition
So I have an interesting update. I took the gun into a gunsmith yesterday and he ran a chamber length gauge and the chambers came out to 2 1/2". Needless to say I ordered son RST 2 1/2" shells for it last night. Has me thinking though because everything I've read has said the Sterlingworth...

Re: 1931 Sterlingworth and modern ammunition
Thank you for the help, I appreciate the quick response. I'm 22 years old and there aren't a lot of people my age who are shooting these guns so it's nice to get some quick help.

1931 Sterlingworth and modern ammunition
Hello all, I'm new to the forum and I apologize if this question has been answered before but here goes. I bought my first antique firearm around Christmas this past year and it's a 12 Gauge Sterlingworth. I found a chart online and have learned that my gun was made in 1931 (it's in the 130000 seria...
