When I went looking, I find that there may have been some skeet guns built with the beavertail forearm. I think you may have something special.

I don't think so, but I like it. Whoever did it did a nice job. I think they call this style a beavertail.

My "A" grade 1917

This gun is in original condition and is used for bird hunting including geese. I fire 3" mag No.2s with no problem. The usual diet is 2 3/4" field loads in No 5-6 for pheasants and quail. It has 30" barrels Mod/ExtraFull. Great gun.

Absolutely beautiful. I do have a question with which you may be able to help. I have an "A" grade from 1917 and it has far more engraving than your fine example. Was there a difference in the amount of engraving in various years or has mine been miss graded. I also grew up hunting with my...
