Re: Southern Side by Side and Drake Landing

Bring your rain gear - we’ve had thunderstorms all week that will continue off and on thru the weekend. It’ll be muddy in Sanford.

Re: What was special about this Fox on GB

Why the hell would it be worth your time to cut 1" off of a set of barrels - I understand cutting barrels is not a good idea on a vintage gun like this in the first place - but to cut 1" off just seems so stupid to me.

Agreed - I'd order an HE style gun immediately.

Re: 4 Green heads with the Super Fox!

Looks like a great hunt - thanks for the pics. The vast majority of my waterfowl hunting is salt or brackish water which makes me nervous about taking the Super Fox. So I rarely get to hunt with it.

Damn - I wish it would get cold and the ducks would fly south. Looks like you and Lucy are pounding the mallards. I've got basically nothing in North Carolina

Can you highlight the link inside the box and copy it? Worst case scenario write down the exact link on paper (including the brackets) and then type it in here.

Once you have your pictures loaded to Photobucket - it should be easy to post them here. Steps are as follows: 1) Open 2 web browser screens - on one screen logged into the forum here - on the other screen log into your Photobucket account 2) Within your Photobucket library - click on the image you ...

Re: CSMC vs Custom Fox small bore?

I think you can find a decent Fox Sterlingworth 20 gauge ejector for well under 5K. I'd think more in the 3K area unless you want 30" barrels. If anybody knows where I can find a 20 gauge Sterlingworth ejector gun for less than 5K please let me know (with 28 or 30" barrels). I've been loo...

Re: CSMC vs Custom Fox small bore?

It would be a C grade at the C price - just with B engraving. Still not much more expensive than a full custom job.

Re: CSMC vs Custom Fox small bore?

I've been making similar comparisons in my mind over the past year or so. I've been contemplating a project - that is upgrading a 20 gauge Sterlingworth to a B Fox with the later style engraving. I'm always been partial to the B grade Foxes - and have given up thinking I'll find one with 28 or 30&qu...

Re: CSMC Fox Guns??

After a very long wait - I took delivery of a 16 gauge 2 barrel set last summer. Saved a long time for that purchase and thought it was a "once in a lifetime" purchase. Now I want a 20 gauge too.

Re: Ammo for Waterfowl

Are you guys shooting Rio Bismuth, handloading or do you still have shells left from the Bismuth Cartridge Company? I shot Rio this year but had problems with a handful of shells. I've never been a handloader so I'm wondering if there are better options I can find somewhere.
