Did Fox ever send any guns out from the factory with checkered butts? If they did anyone have any pictures?
Thanks

Re: Manufacture date vs Ship Date
Say the serial number shows the gun was manufactured in the philly era but shipped in the savage era how would that gun most likely left the factory? Barrels struck as philly or Utica?

Re: Fox XE project
Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately I am not at liberty to give out the stockers name. I have seen a couple of his stocks done and was very impressed. I sent him this gun on 11/9/16 and he sent me those pictures 12/20/16. Talk about turn around time!!! The 30" barrels are with Brian Dudley...

Fox XE project
I received these pictures from the stockmaker last week. Not the best pictures but I am very happy with the turn out of the wood. Gun is now on its way to have a set of NOS 30" barrels added. Should be back in time to head into the grouse woods. Cant wait!!! http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...

He is 4. My springer is 6 and I have a retired cocker at 13.5. I am facing the harsh reality that his end is coming very soon.

Re: Grouse Hunting
Got for a bit yesterday. Found the grouse were a little spooky but managed to find a few. Took one nice bigger male in the middle of an old growth. http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa331/penglin79/Hunting/86DB4D09-A4AB-4FEB-8BCD-8104B694218D_zpsmogvq5yi.jpg http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa3...

Re: Opinions on truest case colors
Here are cyanide case colors from Rons Gun Shop. These were done last winter if anyone was curious about what their colors look like. I ended up selling the gun but I felt they did a good job on the restoration. http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa331/penglin79/Guns/CEE367D7-3B43-4C06-A357-97CB9E9...

Grouse Hunting
Have not been around much but thought I would share a few photos from my fall. Usually out in Montana for a week trip but with young families we stuck around Minnesota and chased the king. Here are a couple of pics of our trip. http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/aa331/penglin79/Hunting/8B15A328-347...
