I have hunted with it but I don't hunt with much anymore.

Re: Unique Order Cards and Letters
It has been awhile, okay years, since I've posted anything here. Yesterday I got a letter on the 20 Gauge AE I've had for years. I always wondered about the pad being original...it is! Are some build cards still available? https://a4.pbase.com/o3/10/209910/1/133474427.GOgjCJ4l.Foxes03_27_11.jpg http...

The old 12 AE gets it done
After days of not getting any Toms in range and worth taking with my full and full choked 32 inch barreled 12 Gauge AE my turkey season ended at 5 PM on May 16. This years secret to success was to set out the decoys, take a nap, wake up and shoot the Tom standing a few yards away while he listened t...

I added a 20 Gauge Sterlingworth. I don't have enough Foxes to part with any yet.

Need some Butt plates
I chipped the heel on my 12 Gauge AE and recently picked up a Philly Sterlingworth that has had a pad added but the wood wasn't cut. Does anyone have any experience with the butt plates from Connecticut Shotgun. Are there any other possible sources?

Re: Turkey hunting with an AE
You're all are going to have to help me on the barrel weight. The upper/left barrel stamp is kind of weak and could be a 3 or 5. The bottom/right barrel is a 5. If I remember correctly there is 0.040 barrel restriction in both bores measured with Universal shotgun Bore Gauge. I'm not really a Fox gu...

Turkey hunting with an AE
for the first time this season; my wife and I finally manged to get out turkey hunting this morning . Well maybe I shouldn't call it turkey hunting. It was more of a nice hike on the mountain while a carried a shotgun to build upper body strength. Today I pulled the Fox AE 12 gauge with the 32 inch ...

Re: Looking forward - let us hear your bird hunting plans
Most years on September 1st. I would be hoping to freshen my shooting skills on doves. I my part of Utah doves are an iffy thing. Most years an early cold snap will push most of the birds south. This year our wildlife dept. has given us another few weeks, that no one was asking for, to chase ruffed ...

Re: AE with 32" barrels and an introduction pic heavy
The average Joe or Jane with a point and shoot and a little care with light placement can do some amazing work. A couple of well placed halogen lights and some white board for reflectors would work very well especially if you diffuse lights with some opaque material. Even some cheap hardware store m...

Re: AE with 32" barrels and an introduction pic heavy
Excellent. What do you use to diffuse the window light? cloth material? tjw Bare with me here, product photography is what I do for a living. These were quick and dirty shots done in my living room on a coffee table but it is the type of thing anyone can do with a little practice. The goal in this ...

Re: AE with 32" barrels and an introduction pic heavy
Marshfellow I think I returned your message but, okay, techno geek I'm not. You're right, the barrels on the 20 gauge are 28" and not 26 inches. But, she who must be obeyed doesn't let me handle it all that much anymore and it just feels so little.

Re: AE with 32" barrels and an introduction pic heavy
They were taken inside with a combination of diffused window light and a fill flash bounced of the ceiling. The window light gives a nice highlight along the barrels and comb and the bounced flash brings up the shadows a little. It is a pretty dirty and quick approach but it works.
