Nothing wrong with that pic Frank. Awesome grey, don't get to see many of them close enough for a shot.
Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.

Very nice Frank for sure. Sadly I got out here in Va yesterday carrying my Fox Sterly upgrade and 4 plus hours of walking behind a pretty good bird dog provided zero flushes of the King. I think Va Grouse numbers are as low as I've ever seen them in my lifetime.

Nice picture thanks, the grey fox is not much bigger than the rooster unless the camera distorts the image.

Re: First hunt with the 20 bore Sterly
Great pics, Frank, thanks for posting them, and for the hunting narratives. I always enjoy them.
That may well be a "charmed" gun. Better strike while the iron is hot, and keep carrying her when you go. I'll bet that is one fast little babe to bring on target with that 26" set on her. I'll also bet she would be equally as adept on high flying doves with the 30s.
Well done, SRH

Re: First hunt with the 20 bore Sterly
Dave, right you are. Thank you. I'd written down the wrong date when I checked the PGC site. Nowadays we don't get a booklet with the license, at least I haven't in several years. November 25 it is. I'll get out for grouse again this coming week; first split of our PA northern zone duck season closed on the 18th.
