Hello Folks. This pad is on the pin gun I acquired today. It's in good shape, and it would like to use it, but will need to take it off the stock for a while.

What are the ways people go about removing these Noshoc stocks with the plugs without causing damage, and how do you safely clean them up to more of a fresh like-new appearance?

I use a small flat blade screw driver with Gojo for a lubricant to lift the plugs out. If they were glued in the gojo will normally soften the glue. To clean them up I use Gojo and a scotch brite pad to remove the grunge.

Excellent. Thank you. I got a little off with some 409 kitchen cleaning spray, but your solution sounds better.

From my point of view, I'm not sure you would want to have a more fresh like-new appearance. From your pictures, it looks pretty good the way it is.

Yup. 409 will make everything look new. Vaseline petroleum jelly will soften everything up around the plugs. I'm not sure that I would be using the 409, depending on the individual gun.

Yeah, I don't want to disolve it with harsh chemicals. It was a small test with 409. I'm leaving it as-is.
