Fox targets are set at the NE SxS

I just returned from Hidden Hollow. Long day. Our targets are set for the Bo-Whoop Long Range Shoot and the WC Letterman SBT Cup. This year we'll have an incomer to simulate a decoyed bird, along with an outgoer with a curl on it from a trap to the left. Weather still looks clear, hot and dry. Scattered showers probably in the evenings/typical at this time of year. Festivities start tomorrow.

For this year Ernie Hausmann has an even longer and wider main tent than I've seen in the past. Vendors were already rolling in and Steve Cobbs, John Allgood and Mark Beasland were setting up when I left.

Reminder to all who are coming and will watch the shooting at the Fox competition targets .... bring a folding chair. Also, we can always use help at the Fox shooting station.

Boyd, Paul and Frank with 5 (count em) Fox J Grade SBT's. Quite a coincidence... one of Boyd's guns and one of Paul's have consecutive serial numbers. Sorry for the dark faces with the sun shadows, but you all are interested in the guns anyway.

Frank,

Sincere thanks for all the prep work you've been doing. I'll bet more than a couple hours worth.

Things look great. Hope to get there around noon. I'd be happy to help out wherever you might need a body.

Jolly

Frank, I was wondering if the Bo Whoop challenge could be set up with very high overhead and very high crossing shots to simulate the "tall ones" that Nash was famous for? Jim

Jim, I would love to do that but it just won't work. Craig and I both looked at renting a scissor lift for one or both traps this year but couldn't justify the expense. And we don't have a nearby hill where the traps could be set at an elevation. The present location is ideal for easy shooter access but we have to watch the shooting window and shot drop because of the other NE SxS venues. Anything like a high crosser is out of the question. All things considered we're doing the best we can, and feedback on this year's presentation was very positive from our Friday shooters.
