Well I tried to take an artsy photo…

Post by spyder »

…of some quail and my XE but it didn’t quite work out. The birds were a little stiff and shot up. This was last weekend in Northern Georgia. I also caught a nice rainbow that afternoon!

All together a good day!

Congratulations on both. What gauge is your XE?

12g with 26” IC/IM barrels and weighs 6.5 lbs. Short barrels may not be in vogue, but this gun is quick handling and perfect for quail.

Not a bad way to do surf and turf right there!

Reggie, we fished and hunted at Noontoola. I have friends in the Mineral Springs/Blue Ridge GA area, and we go down there once a year.

Now that's a nice rainbow! Your quail look like ones I would have pulled out of my pouch after my dogs had retrieved them and being jammed in my coat. Love your XE.

I have never had a coat full of quail or doves that would make a good picture.

I try to take a ton of photos because most of mine turn out like crap!

Looks like you had a great day.
