I second Kevin's recommendation to visit the Bass Pro in the Pyramid. There's a couple hours worth of looking around to do even if you don't buy anything. The DU mini-museum was a treat for me, and quite unexpected as I did not know it was there. I was out there about two weeks before Kevin.

The other must-do while in Memphis is to eat supper at The Rendezvous. This has been a tradition of mine for about 15 years. Right in front of the Peabody Hotel, in the alley. You can park right beside it in a free public parking garage. Best dry rub ribs on earth. Not but about a 5 minute drive from the Pyramid. Walk-ins only .... no reservations. Just try not to go the afternoon of the Liberty Bowl, like I did (UGA & TCU) :( .
