OK, here you are. If anyone can share any history on this arm, I would certainly appreciate it. From a value or collectability standpoint, saying the gun has been reblued and stock refinished, has it been harmed?

The highest prices paid for vintage shotguns are for rare (your gun) and very high condition untouched examples. I my opinion condition trumps rarity. Your gun appears to have been lovingly used to the point that most of the original condition was gone before the restoration, so the restoration does not have a substantial effect on current value. This just my opinion, I am sure others will disagree. Your gun is very nice and you are fortunate to own such a treasure.

Thank you KC for the additional pic. I may be wrong but it appears to me the triggerguard is not a factory piece. The tang seems to be uniform width rather than slimming toward the butt end, and its tail end isn't profiled like all straight grip Fox triggerguards I've seen. I'm thinking it may have been "stretched" from a regular guard, i.e., made up by a craftsman and engraved to similate a factory t-guard. Maybe it's the angle of the pic but there APPEARS to be a small weld void just ahead of the tang engraving. Again, I may be wrong on this assessment. 20 gauge XE's are not all that common. I look forward to seeing the gun at the Vintagers. Silvers
