Frank:

This is a great story, that 20 ga. Fox must be out there somewhere. Do you remember the serial number? Maybe you have started a new thread: "My first Fox".

I got a chance to take a couple of pics. The gun is recorded as a BE, 16ga. 28" IM&F. Wt 6 pounds even. Consignee: Standard Bros. no ship date.

It is my personal opinion the the gun is approx circa 1917 or so. It has the case colors of others from that era....very muted straw, putty & blue tones.

It is really delightful

I had every intention to post a few pics but I cant seem to remember what 3 keys to push to paste them from photobucket...aint working out so well.

Tom, just copy & paste (all I have to do is put the cursor on the picture, the IMG code will appear in a drop-down menu, click on the on the IMG code, it will say copied) the IMG code from Photobucket in your post.

......thanks Mike....I'll try again. I used to do just that and then push three secret spy code keys on the keyboard to get it to work.

Tom, probably Standart Brothers Hardware Company, Detroit, Michigan. I have no record of Standard Brothers. Maybe you could have Mr. Callahan double check the spelling.

OK, a browning 22 auto, H&R single shot 20 gauge and $500 IF you throw in the zippered case.
