Well the BoWhoop field is all set up with the help of Steggy, Don and Steve. A few of us did a trial run of the targets and everyone who tried broke a few targets. So bring your A game and have a go at it.

Note: All three birds were broken with a 28ga. so you boys shooting the men's dept guns shouldn't have a problem.

Well the first day of the BoWhoop, WC Letterman and BabyWhoop is in the books. Shooting was light but then again it always is on Thursday. Not one shooter set the course on fire but tomorow is the day when all the sparks will fly. Weather is perfect and it's great to see old friends. Until tomorrow, good night.

Due to a change in plans I was there Thursday instead of Friday. It was great to see everybody and do a little wheeling and dealing.

Moved three down the road including both of my Gough era "B's". Stocked up on RST's. (BTW - no discount this year, but the savings on tax and shipping is great). Got a good deal on some 16 and 28 gauge shells from our very own Brett Farley.

CSMC made me a deal to trade in a minty single trigger 20-gauge RBL to upgrade to a svelte little 28-gauge wand with double triggers. There was some cash involved but you only live once. Tom Tut acted as enabler on that one offering encouragement like he was going to earn a commission on it.

Lastly, I kept going back to look at an 1890's era Westley Richards that had had a full English restoration, and I finally succumbed to its batting its 30-inch lashes at me and took her for a ride back to Bucks County, PA. The engraving and case colors were exceptional and there is just something about new condition Damascus barrels that gets my blood going.

All in all, it was a great day. The comradery is unique and I recommend to anybody on the fence about going to make the extra effort. Seeing everyone in person puts the personalities into perspective. You can learn so much in a 5-minute conversation with guys like Frank (Silvers), Kevin (Sporns), Jeff (Steggy) and Tom (Tut) sitting in the booth swapping yarns, and I might add, you laugh a lot.

Day two at Hausmann’s was another great day. As Daryl said yesterday the shooting at the BoWhoop area picked up considerably this morning and afternoon. Daryl, Steve, Don and Bill were kept hopping today. The activity at the booth was lively as well. Thanks to Jeff, Tom and Kevin for all the engagement with current and new members there. This morning I tagged along to watch the 8 gauge Clays event. Below are some pics of Craig, Jeff, Smitty and Mark shooting those massive guns on the course. It amazes me how well these guys shoot those big cannons!!!

I also have to say that there has been some really nice guns that stopped by the booth. I was able to handle and talk to three different members with beautiful custom fox guns (a 20 gauge and two 16 gauges), as well as some great original Fox guns that members displayed or were shooting. One of the highlights for me was being able to look at an FE 12 gauge that one of our members was kind enough to display at the table along with a beautiful DE 12 and XE 30” 16 gauge that another member was kind enough to display. And as always Jeff had a nice selection of other beautiful Fox guns of various grades on display as well. Thanks to everyone who shared their guns with all of us at the Fox booth!

Day two of the BoWhoop event went well with some spirited shooting and a lot of comeraderie . Ssome good scores were shot on the BoWhoop, BabyWhoop, BigWhoop and the Letterman. Had some great guns show up, not all were Foxes, but great none the less.

Once again I want to thank Steve Wilson and Don McQuade who really made things run smoothly. Jolly Bill and our own Toolman were there to pitch in where needed. Without them I couldn't do it.

Tomorrow the event shuts down at noon so we can tabulate and form the Fox and LeFever teams for the challenge event.
