I met Ed in Leesburg Va at a small gunshop named Nimrod I believe. He was there talking to the owner who had quite a collection of vintage gun related books that Ed was trying to purchase to prep in writing another book. I had just looked at his book "Old Reliable" that was for sale at a nearby table. I looked at the back cover and there was a picture of Ed. I looked at the book again and looked back at Ed and my feeble brain made the connection. I walked over with book in hand and asked if he would sign it and he did indeed and the book is still here in my bookcase. He was quite kind. Nimrod closed down shortly thereafter. I think the year was 1999.
