Ulster Twp is out near Athens. That's Dan Rositter's neck of the woods.

Re: AHFCA events at Hausmann's!!
Me with a regular fishing rod is not an impressive sight to say the least, I never even tried a fly rod. Watched a buddy of mine try it a few times and said, nope not for me. While I immensely enjoy the fishing, I am absolutely terrible at it and can barely fake my way through much of anything that looks like proper casting. But I do know a few fly fishermen, and have family in that area so I'll be sure to let them know, thanks!!OH Osthaus wrote:if you're staying in Forksville - don't forget your fly rod
Mike, I've never to my cousins new place so I'm excited. I know Dan's name, but don't think I've ever met the man. Either way, talked to the bosses and they said as long as my bases are covered I can go! So hopefully I'll see all you guys next month!! Jim

Just a comment that you'll see and talk with more dedicated Foxers at the Northeast SxS than at any other event, anywhere!
REMINDER that the Fox Collector's Bo-Whoop Long Range event may be shot with any side by side for the High Gun places and cash purses. And the highest score with an A H Fox designed shotgun will be recognized as the B-W Trophy winner. Hopefully Fox will rule for both! Gents, don't forget to bring your vintage single barrel trap gun for the Fox Collector's W.C. Letterman SBT event. Cash purses also!
DIRECTIONS for those staying at one of the hotels in Tunkhannock or Montrose (PA) or for those coming for the day from the west or south: drive to LAWTON using your Nav, GPS or a plain old time map. Flynn’s Stone Castle is at the intersection in Lawton and is a good local place to buy gas or goodies. Pick up Route 267 N directly across from Flynn’s.
Drive 1.9 miles from Lawton on Route 267 N, watch for left turn onto Irish Hill Road SR4015
Proceed 0.7 miles on Irish Hill Road and bear right at the “Y”
Continue 3.2 miles, watch for beaver pond on the left, turn right onto Flynn Road (dirt road - Hidden Hollow sign on that corner).
1.3 miles to the end of Flynn Road, park in the field to the right

Re: AHFCA events at Hausmann's!!
It will be good to see and spend time with Dave at the Northeast. Wow, something like a 3000 mile one way drive. Second year in a row!
I drove out to HH this afternoon to drop off my shooting cart and do the early bird scene in the vendor tent. Quite a surprise, some of the larger vendors were already set up or well into the process = Steve Barnett, Jay Schacter, Steve Cobb, CSMC, Mark Beasland and some others coming in as I left. For those lusting over the two XE's that Steve posted on his site a few days ago, he said they're gone but he still has the HE also posted recently. That HE is there with Steve at HH. The Bo-Whoop and W C Letterman shooting butts look to be ready to go thanks to Mountain Mike's efforts yesterday. One of the traps seems like it's set for a hard driver. I saw Dr Bob of the Lefever Collectors and he responded to my "Fox Rules" shout by shouting back that Lefever has some really good shooters coming in. We were at a bit of a distance apart on separate carts and I thought I heard him say: ringers. Hummm ..... King George, Faulds?? I hope our Fox Collectors' VARSITY shooters step up this year with their high and long stocked pets as we've seen in these pages. Surely better than mere factory guns!

Re: AHFCA events at Hausmann's!!
I will be taking off from work Friday and hope to arrive by 9:00 AM. provided I leave my house by 5:45 in the AM.
As usual I always hit the tent first even though it has already been picked over for a full day. I look forward to seeing some familiar faces and hope to meet anyone and everyone who frequents this board.
I've got a bucket list of things to do. Most important is to see what progress Dan Rossiter has made with my custom 2 barrel project. I have not seen a photo since he started to scallop the action and rebate the fences. I'm hoping he has had the time in his schedule to start the stocking. Seeing the beauty of the wood emerge from a blank is one of the most anticipated parts of the entire project. I'm having trouble sleeping lately just thinking about it. I purposely have not talked to him for over a month so I really do not know what to expect.
Other stuff includes getting my HE back from him. I gave it to him last year to fix the crack in the right cheek and give it a good cleaning. I have never even shot it since I bought it so I hope to run it through its' paces at the Bo-Whoop event. He has 2 other guns of mine to give back to me but they are not foxes so I won't get into that.
Lastly, Tool man and I are going to reunite consecutively serial numbered 16 gauge B's for a photo shoot which should generate a good gab fest around the tent.
All in all I look forward to a great day and hope to see you all there!!

Back home today. Put 5804 miles on my new Subaru. Guess I'll treat it to an oil change!! I dawdled and spent a day exploring the Lake Superior shoreline along the UP.

Researcher/Dave,
Thanks for making that almost coast to coast trip on Interstate 90 to get to Hausmann's. 5804 miles is quite a drive to do in about 2 weeks. And now, do you have to drive to Alaska to join your wife? Maybe another 2500+/- miles?
A lot of us are glad you did it.

Re: AHFCA events at Hausmann's!!
It really was great to see you Dave. As much as I love to shoot I don't think I would tackle a trip like that especially by myself. Craig is right, South Dakota is bad enough. It's only 3000 miles round trip but like you and Hausmann's, the destination is worth the effort.
