This will pass the word that Mr John Callahan's fees for AH Fox factory letters were increased effective on 3/23/2015. I learned about this when he replied to my recent request for a letter. I recommend that the prices shown on the AHFCA home page are revised by Admin to avoid rework by John and by the gent who requests the letter.
Current prices are as follows: $45.00 per gun for graded doubles A through F, also for Single Barrel Trap guns and for SP/SPE doubles. Sterlingworth doubles are now $35.00 per gun. John also states in his instruction letter that research/response can take up to 8 weeks after he receives your request.

I am a new member, and just saw this post AFTER I sent my $30.00 and request for a letter for a Fox SW I just bought. Do I need to send another check? I note that you said you got a letter back. What should I do?

I agree with Bobby. Just send a check for $5.00 along with a note of explanation.
It's just my opinion but I think the Fox factory records are just fine where they are right now (Savage Arms factory in Westfield MA). The records consist of many, many boxes of cards, not books, and they were/are stored on shelving. The storage area pictures I have are now 20+ years old and it's possible the cards have beeen moved since then - but most industrial buildings are temp/humidity controlled, have sophisticated alarm systems and are sprinklered, etc. In contrast the Fox Association has no physical building asset at all, and I really doubt any of the BD's who only serve a three year term will personally dedicate an alarmed, fire-protected and humidity controlled building such as a two car garage for record card storage. And then when that person's term(s) inevitably ends, what happens then? Again this is jmo.
