Good info, and I appreciate the pictures for comparison, I had been looking for an image like that so I could get an idea of what an uncut muzzle looks like.

How to decock hammers with barrel off

And more importantly how to recock them lol. I want to check the firing pin protrusion on my new Fox sterlingworth. What is the best way to decock and cock the gun without the barrels on? So much easier on my old hammer guns, lol!

I just picked up a nice sterlingworth that had a modern recoil pad fitted to it. I’d like to put an effective but vintage looking pad on it before next season.
