Fitting a Second Set of Sterly Barrels

I have an ejector Sterlingworth, 28", and I also have a set of ejector 30" Sterlingworth barrels which click right on the action and are a very good fit. However, the single forearm will not fit on the 30" set, refusing to close onto the barrels. It looks like the sliding mechanism has a bit too much metal to allow the forearm to close onto the barrels. Should I take metal off the end of the sliding mechanism or is there another method? I would like to have a two barrel set, but don't want to harm my gun. Thanks.

You need to alter the hook on the 30" barrels if you want to use the forearm on both sets. But, could be clearance issue with forearm/barrels between wood and barrels at the very rear of the forearm. Would need to see it to know.

Bill take the cocking slide off the original barrels and install on other barrels and see if forend will fit. Bobby
