While pheasant hunting in South Dakota, we also hit a few pot holes looking for ducks. I shot a widgeon, and this nice green winged teal with my 10 ga. Charles Daly.

You certainly weren’t undergunned for that Teal! Beautiful girl there. I think Teal are my favorite duck to eat.

That’s a great way to spend some time off. What kind of shells were you using in that hammer gun Jeff?

Thanks Jeff. Green-wing Teal are the best to eat in my opinion. Much better than Cinnamon Teal. No Blue-wings here in CA. I don't get any Canvasbacks either.

I was using 2 7/8" RST #5 shot. To be honest, we didn't even know what was on the water. It was a "dug-out" pot hole with high banks so we just surrounded it and moved in. They flushed before we even saw the water, but it was fun knocking one down.
