A collection of vixens

Today was Fox day here in South Dakota as 4 out of 6 hunters carried a smallbore Fox. For your viewing pleasure the collection from top to bottom is;
30" SW 20 gauge
30" SW 16 gauge
30" A 20 gauge
28" SW deluxe 16 gauge
26" SW brush ejector 20 gauge
Sorry the pic is askew.

Thanks Daryl for posting. Always nice to see hot vixens out of gun cabinets and safes, and doing what they were made to do. Here ya go on the pic.

Pretty cool. Probably not that many small bore Foxes all together doing the pheasant thing for sure. Pretty sweet.

Thanks for the help Frank. Maybe we need a tutorial on flipping pictures.
Kevin- To be honest with you I haven't yet reached the proficiency with the 32" SW, aka Rita, to feel confident like I do with Fentress, my 30" SW, to kill birds. I need another thousand or so clays under her corset before I unleash her on these cagey ringnecks.
Interesting sidebar;
After playing with the 28" 16ga. SW deluxe and the 32" 20ga. SW barrels I was amazed to find that both of these barrels fit perfectly on the 30" 20ga. SW frame and function as if made for that receiver.

Generally I've found that post-war to early 1960's Winchester, Western and Federal paper shells are nice and crackly but Remington and Peters often have hang fires or are duds. I chalk it up to the "anti souring" component of the powder that's been totally reacted and residual acid affecting the powder and primer mix.

Great pic and as Frank said....glad to see them getting used. I used my 16/28” M/F Sterly for my trip to SD last year. Not sure what I’ll take this year but I guarantee you it will be a Fox!! Brett
