Hausmann's: Endless Mountain Melancholy
Wistful....longing to be somewhere else today. My long-time co-pilot Jimmy Malone and I would be passing through one of my favorite haunts about now, the legendary Catskill trout streams, heading westbound en route to the bucolic Endless Mountains and the Rockwellian hamlet of Friendsville, home of Hausmann's Hidden Hollow. For many Fox fanatics, it's a X-Mas morning of sorts, the start of a jubilant, 3-day rendezvous sans the fur-trading. A reunion of a fraternal order of old friends and doublegun addicts, most of whom love to burn powder, testing their skill at breaking what historically have proved to be some mighty challenging targets. Home of the perennial, Bo-Whoop and W.C. Letterman SBT Challenge and no less epic, Mrs. C's chocolate chunk cookies. With that said, I'll leave you with some great Hausmann's memories from days gone by. Memories---in the words of Streisand----"you memorize to keep your winters warm." Enjoy.
On the whole....I'd rather be in Philadelphia....

Thanks Steve for the memories, good times for sure that come so slowly and end so quickly. I'm really missing Hausmann's Northeast event and seeing the Fox brethren this year.

So all we have to do is make it up at Mike's in July-Aug.

Owning a Fox is not a spectator sport.

Well, I stopped by the gun club for the first time since March 12th and shot a round of clays. I didn't shoot real well, but it was a beautiful day. Cheers!

Something else you don't see every day either. These were some of the guns on display at the Fox booth at the NE SXS a few years ago. I'm and XE fan and the 3rd one down really caught my eye.

Even more random pics, so sad the faithful aren't at the Northeast this weekend.
