Morphy's and the XE20

Anyone know what the XE20 hammered at? Any details on the configuration?

I didn’t, see the XE, if you mean the FE 20 gauge, that hammered for $130,000.

Yeah Daryl,
nice Fox for sure and I would need a different career to be able to swing that one, but I did look at it behind glass and I should have asked to look and hold it in hand, oh well. It sucks that we cannot afford them all but it is also reassuring that a gun of this level is still highly sought after in these uncertain times.

Makes 202194 back in November 2017 for $166,750 seem like a real bargain. Billy Gough's talent had really fallen off between 202194 and 203760.

I don't know. These two FE-Grade 20-gauges both happen to be signed by him. From 203760 --

The on-line Morphy catalog now shows the final price for the Dr. Grimm FE-Grade 20-gauge with the vig as $159,900.
