Hello Fellow Shotgun Enthusiasts,

I bought a beautiful Parker Brothers 12 Ga. 30" Damascus Steel double barrel shotgun yesterday. I intend to use it in the nest week or two at Addieville East Farm here in Rhode Island. The Chokes are F - IC, L.O.P. 13 3/4, Drop 1 1/2, C 2 1/2, 6 lbs. 13 oz, I feel very comfortable with it and hope you people like it. According to the Ser. # it was made about 1901. Take care. Brian

Wow! That's a beauty. I own a GH that shipped in 1895 (which I like very much). Yours is much more "pristine". Enjoy it.

Brian, looks like a good one. Nice find. A couple of thoughts. That ~6-3/4 pounds sounds pretty light for a 30" 12-gauge even on the 1-1/2 frame. Maybe you've had it done, but if not I suggest you get the barrel walls checked for thickness FULL length from the forcing cones out to the chokes, not just the forward 1/3 of the barrel runs. That's because I've seen many black/early smokeless powder era guns with bores honed and even pseudo backbored, and with questionable and worse yet, unsafe walls even for use of low velocity/pressure loads. frank

Frank as usual gives sage advice. What I find interesting is that it's a 1 1/2 frame. Most GH damascus are on the 2 frame and then there are some lovely ones on the 1 frame. Enjoy and shoot her in good health. Nice gun.
