Lever Off Center

What is the significance of the lever on a Fox shotgun being left or right of centerline? What part or gunsmithing is necessary to correct guns with levers to the left?

The fit of barrels to frame is probably worn and off face and that will cause the top lever to be to the left. Also replacing the rotary bolt with a new one will move the top lever to the right in some cases. Bobby
