Fox Sterlingworth guns with the recessed hinge pins

A few questions please- Are these guns marked Sterlingworth Gun Company worth more, in the same condition, as the later ones marked A.H. Fox Gun Co.? Were other graded Fox guns found with this recessed hinge pin design. For how many years were they manufactured? Were they mainly in 12 gauge? On one of the gun auction sites, a dealer had a bid up to nearly $4000 for a early recessed pin Sterlingworth 12 gauge.
