Just recieved this. Gunsmith that transferred it in gave zero interest in looking it over for me. Dont need a perfect gun, just something to hammer away on. Is this something i should be concerned about? To my blind ears they ring right however the tone is slightly different than my C grade that checks out. Dont know if anyone can be of any help from this one bad picture but this is not my area of expertise. Thank you.

I am far from an expert but it is pretty obvious that the barrels appear to have been cut. That top rib separating is not a good thing either.I would definitely get the rib issue addressed if,as you say, you plan on shooting the gun a lot.I have a gun with cut barrels that still “ring” but they just don’t sound right to me.Kind or flat sounding.

Short term you would be ok shooting it. Worse that can happen is the rib loosens more. Same fix either way.
