Here is my Ithaca field grade .410 NID. Single select Trigger and Ejectors. Neat little Double. Anyone know how many .410 bores were made in NID models ??

Great little Ithaca!! Love the 1935 to WW-II style Field Grades. I have the production numbers for smallbore NIDs at home, but I'm currently at our northern address. If someone else doesn't come up with it sooner, I'll be back to the lower 48 after 5 June.

I got this one of the very last "Star" style Field Grade NID .410-bore from Randy Shuman years ago --

and right or wrong I had it Turnbullized. A bit higher in the 459xxx range they were making the new style Field Grades.

According to a tabulation someone at Ithaca did circa 1960, this is the breakout of .410-bore NIDs --

Field Grade -- 790
No. 1 ---------- 64
No. 2 ---------- 40
No. 3 ---------- 7
No. 4 ---------- 14
No. 5 ---------- 6
No. 7 ---------- 2
Sousa ---------- 1

Researcher,
Thank you for that info. Being a field grade with Single Select trigger and Ejectors. I guess the original buyer knew what he or she wanted. Its a joy to shoot !!
