hi,everyone. i have a savage fox .410 excellant condition case color reciever,hand checkerd stock and forearm , pistol grip cap and butt plate the oval stamp on reciever by the hinge has 351 in it, is that the year of manufacture? every thing you read says the date is a letter in the oval. thanks efudd

AHFCA has no records on the Model B guns. We do not consider them Fox guns. Completely different design. The only thing "Fox" about them is the name stamped on the gun. Maybe some member can help with your question, but the AHFCA has no records.

The third digit in the oval should be a letter, so maybe it is a "capital i", so that would be a 1957 manufacture.

I own two of them. One is a single trigger and the other a double trigger. I like them both. You can get a letter from
