Signs

A word of caution. There are now two of the reproduction tin signs on ebay, billed as vintage. Perhaps my
definition of vintage is radically different than the two vendors, but both are even marked as 1993. $60-$100
for a modern sign sold to the uneducated would seem fraudulent.

Apparently back in 1993 the producer of these fake tin signs decided they wanted an A.H. Fox sign and some enterprising individual scanned in a Winchester poster

photoshopped out the Winchester name and inserted the A.H. Fox name and began printing out these tin signs --

If you collect those "self loading" Fox shotguns

It's just the thing

Thanks for the replies. I knew the signs were fake; and like Osthaus I have been amused at the self loading AH Fox reference. I guess it is because I ,myself, have collected these things for many years, it particularly galls me to see a fake and have
it also labeled as vintage, which to me tries to confirm its validity. There are certainly new collectors who can easily
be fooled by outright fakes or unmarked reproductions, and I believe it is proper to warn more junior members of these
items. Unless some one has a real objection, I may do this again.
