MY AE GRADE FOX

Last year I purchased my first A H FOX, a 12 Gauge AE Grade ser number 18543 with 30 inch barrels choked Full and Full. The Callahan letter states that she was shipped to Union Hardware in Los Angeles on 28 June 1911. I just received a digital camera as a present so I thought that I would share some photos with you. Unfortunately, I am not able to figure out how to do so. If someone could walk me through the process, or perhaps post them for me, I would appreciate it. It doesn't look as if she was used much in the past 97 years. The bluing on the barrels and the case hardening show very little wear. I have taken her to the Trap range several times and she handles and shoots very well. Quite a difference from the Stoeger that I have been using.

Very nice A grade in high condition, the wood is unreal for an entry level graded gun. I would like to find a early A in that condition, nice gun!

Perfect timing. The great wood along with fine fit and finish of early guns, but with the more dependable late style ejectors. Congrats on a fine old Fox!

foxdoublegunner,
Pretty nice looking gun.
Do you have any close up shots of the bottom and both sides of the receiver? That would be great.
Take good care of the old girl.

Bill,
Here are some additional pictures of the receiver as requested. Once again please excuse the quality of my photography. I am still learning how to use this new fangled thing.

foxdoublegunner,
Thank you so much for posting more pictures for us to enjoy.
You have a real Classic.
Eightbore said it right: "One of the nicer early A Grades we will ever see."
I have owned an early A grade for about 40 years, SN 7983, that is almost as nice as yours, but no ejectors. And like yours, 100% original. I've owned an awful lot of Fox'es over the years, but 7983 is one of my favorites.
Fox sure did a heck of a job back then.
You are very fortunate.
My best regards, Bill Jolliff.
