Could anyone tell me if the rib on the trap single currently on Gunbroker is correct?I have noticed two different style
bases.Round or rectangular base....which is correct? Item#708067499

To me it is not. I have two Js and on both the rib bases are rectangular, these are round. Also, there should be a pin just forward & below of where the barrel rib meets the fixed rib on the receiver. Also, what is that on the action flats?

It is a low number gun though.

I think that gun was worked over by Moneymaker and that is one of their ribs and their repair to the watertable.

Check out the pictures of the Fox SBTs in the Julia's catalog online. Good shot of the rectangular rib base on Lot #2492, as well as the very late Savage receiver profiling for the SBTs. Just realized I have a picture on this computer of my late SBT --
