Same as "Skeet & Upland" ?
16 gauge Sterlingworth date range puts this serial # at 1928 (I think)
Barrels say Philly.
I thought Skeet and Upland was a mid 30's offering.
What am I missing?
Thank you.

Skeet and Upland is indeed a Savage Offering. As far as I know they are all straight stock with a short tang. Posting pictures of the rest of the gun besides the water table may help us identify it.

According to my notes 364599 is a Philadelphia gun with 28-inch STERLINGWORTH FLUID COMPRESSED STEEL barrels with a capped full pistol grip stock and a non-original beavertail forearm. It was in the March 2015 Poulin auction. I don't know from where, but I have a picture of that barrel flat from a lower angle in my files --

Doesn't appear to have anything to do with the Fox-Sterlingworth Skeet & Upland Game Gun offered by Savage beginning in 1935.

The lowest serial number 16-gauge Fox-Sterlingworth Skeet & Upland Game Gun I have recorded is 370641.
