Sterlingworth factory letter

I received my letter from Savage arms historical today. Some of the information doesn't match my firearm. The serial number matches, as it should, but the barrel length doesn't. All of the numbers on my firearm match indicating that nothing has been modified. Any thoughts on if this could just be a typo?

Edit: My firearm has a 28" barrel.

You need to resize your picture for anyone to see anything.

Cory,

What is the barrel length of your Sterlingworth? What length does it say in the letter?

If your barrel is shorter than what the letter says, it may have been shortened since it left the factory.

The letter says 26" barrel mine has a 28". I also fixed the original post.

Well most are shorter rather than longer! Bobby

The letter says it was a Sterlingworth Field which by definition is a 28-inch barrel. Mistakes happen!! After the A.H. Fox Collectors Association got the copies of the graded gun cards, I discovered Roe had looked at the wrong card when he did the letter for my 12-gauge SPE-Grade Skeet & Upland Game Gun twenty years earlier. I'd write them and ask for a corrected letter.
