Safety buttons, Blued or Case Colored on Graded Guns?

Always thought higher graded Fox (CE and above), had case color hardened safety buttons. However, was looking at a few pictures on the net and it appears they may have been hot blued instead. Would appreciate what was correct for those guns or whether they were done both ways. Thanks much.
