I have used Mark Lee Express Blue before and like the way the way barrels look. My question is I plan to do a set of sterlingworth barrels. The directions require heating the barrels to around 200 degrees. apply blue then put in boiling water. I want to keep the water out of between the barrels. If I keep a plug in the site bead should I worry about a pressure build up inside the void are between the barrels? Remember sterlingworths don't have the drain hole under the forarm.

To answer your question; I wouldn't worry about pressure build-up, but I might be concerned about water getting past the "plug" and not drying out quickly enough.
As to the drain hole; I believe I read it was used on Philly guns but not Utica guns. That's certainly true of my small sample. That said, my Utica barrels were reblacked by Lefever Arms and they didn't add a drain hole.
How do you plan to heat the barrels "to around 200 degrees"? Water boils at 212, so it seems you'd always use boiling water to heat the barrels at any stage. If that's the case, you're not likely to build up any significant pressure between the barrels.
You might try posting your question on doublegunshop.com, especially since it's not Fox-specific. Not that we don't have knowledgeable people on this board, but the sheer number of technophiles on that board will ensure a number of reponses.

How bout when you are all done, flushing out with some alcohol or acetone? Should speed up the drying out a whole lot and prevent rusting from residual water.
