Bo Whoop - Deja Vu

Every opening day, the members of my family that are duck hunting meet at noon to have sandwiches and share their experiences. Since the property is very irregular in shape, and very swampy, I have to drive about 4 miles on a variety of dirt and paved rounds to get there. So today at 11:30 I loaded my gear into my truck and headed that way. Pulling out of my parking place requires going up a slight grade to get onto the road. My tires started spinning on the wet grass, so I backed up and slowly tried it again, no luck. Not wanting to "mash on it" I backed up, put it in 4WD and eased up onto the gravel road. Once I was on the road, I noticed that my "tire pressure" warning light was on, but my truck doesn't tell me which tire is low. I figured that when I got to the paved road, I would get out and inspect the tires. The road takes a 90 degree bend, and then it's a bumpy 1/2 miles to the pavement. I was going about 30 mph and hit a pot hole hard enough to splash a little water onto my hood. I then stopped at the intersection to inspect my tires. One tire looked a little low, but as I walked around the back of my truck, there, lying on my aluminum tonneau cover, was my nice green canvas gun case containing my 1924 A grade. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!!! If I hadn't stopped to inspect my tires, that gun would have bounced down a paved road at 60 mph. Guys, if I ever try to buy a gun from any of you, don't sell it to me. I'm not worthy. I can't be trusted to take good care of it. LOL. Well, maybe I've learned a very valuable, but inexpensive lesson. Jeff
