i was just looking on the hevi shot page under classic double and they have new for 08 non tox in the gauges i listed above as well has 12 and 20. i had shot a box of the 12s in my fox last year at ducks, didnt hit anything but that was my fault.
i was wondering if anyone had any bad experiences with this and if anyone has found out what the psi on these rounds are. the fps is 1150 and the loads i had were 1 1/8oz of shot 5's. they say this is a performance substitute for bismuth but is it really. there are pictures of m21's parkers a fox and some others on their page. so i would assume that these rounds were tested in those types of guns.

This is very good news, I hope they make the shot available to reloaders.

Is this the same "Heavy Shot" that was loaded by Remington for modern shotguns? How about the extra thick shotcup, is it the same as was used by Remington, or a special one for use in older S x S's?
It does say the shot is approximately the same hardness as barrel steel, no reference to modern high tensile steel or older softer steel. Of course lead and bismuth are softer.
I don't think I'd use Heavy Shot/thick shotcup handloads until someone did extensive testing to see if it might bulge the chokes on thinner, light weight barrels. Silvers

Hevi-shot and Hevi-shot Classic Doubles are 2 different compounds, I am told.. The Hevi-shot sold for reloading by BPI is the regualr stuff (formerly loaded for Remington now replaced by their own HD brand) Standard Hevi-shot is suitable for steel shot compatible guns only. Call BPI and ask them-better yet call Hevi-shot.
