Fox SW 16 ga triggers

Is it normal for triggers to have a little "looseness" (front to back & side to side)? The gun is a 1935 mfg 16 ga SW. I have shot several rounds of skeet and wobble trap and gun performed great. Didn't know if there is a internal trigger spring that would control the slack? There doesn't seem to be excess creep, etc when fire.
Thanks to all forum posters for such expert advise

Short answer is yes. Sterlingworth trigger pulls are generally pretty good. It will have more side to side play than forward slack. Keep in mind that the triggers aren't as elaborate as a repeater type trigger.
