Ive read here that the 30" usually had 2 3/4" dah? This one measures 3" I guess nothing is written in stone.

In all likelihood the catalogued dimensions are what they shot for, but there was probably a certain amount of variation. The 1927 A.H. Fox Gun Co. catalogue --

As one can see, they offered to change the drop 3/8 inch either way for an extra $2.50. Does that mean they built a Sterlingworth with special dimensions for the $2.50? Did they bend the stock? Did they have an employee look through the warehouse for a Sterlingworth that happened to come out with those dimensions?

In 1919 they offered a bit more variation --

That's a great looking gun. Congratulations! I went to a gun show last Sunday I didn't see anything that was even close to being as nice as your shotgun.

this one walked in the door. I wasn't there but had a friend call me on the phone an I purchased over the phone. Was a little apprehensive but was very pleased when I picked it up. 2 weight 30" barrels with no pitting. some bumps and dings but overall good.

Well I found the chokes to be .06 @.32 kind of odd for 2 wt barrels. But full 30" uncut an 3" dah
