Last week I was fortunate enough to go to Saskatchewan for a duck and upland bird hunt south and west of Regina. I hunted ducks for three days with my Super Fox loaded with 3" Rio Bismuth #5's. Everything work flawlessly.

Looks lke a great trip.
Assuming you drove, curious about how many miles did you put on the odometer?
Love to hear some details.

Will you be cruising the prairies with that M21 or will a Fox be making the trip with you?

Daryl: I plan to have Parker, Fox and Winchester represented.

Roger I flew to Saskatchewan from Toronto, no issues except Canadian Customs at the Lewiston Bridge lets say they worked at a bureaucratic pace with a full and complete inspection----1 1/2 hours to get through Canadian Customs (just BS in my opinion). US Customs was a breeze, the Homeland Security Officer was a big gun lover----3 minutes to get back into the US.
We hunted pea fields in the morning, and pot holes in the afternoon two days and upland one afternoon. Our best duck hunt was 48 ducks by 8:08am for a six man limit of 8 each (all mallards and pintails). The upland hunting was very close to the Montana border. In three hours of hunting we flushed 25-30 Sharptails and 4 covers of Huns each with 12 to 15 birds.
I am headed out to South Dakota (driving) next week with Daryl for some wild Pheasant hunting with my Lab Lucy.
Then duck season starts in New York on the 24th. I am away for my anniversary and my wife's birthday----she is very understanding and supportive lady.

I just got back from Manitoba today, another great year been going for 10. Hunting ducks on the Canadian prairie is definitely the real deal! Those rio shells, what shot weight? Who are you buying from? I was hoping to take my sterlingworth but could not get it all together in time, working out loading ITX 10. I switched from Winchester Xperts to rio blue steel this year and was impressed with the rios they visually hit way harder. I took along both starting with the rio then mixed my bag to get back to back feel for them, I'm sold, now for the salt water test!
