Savage Model B date?

I know this is a beat to death subject, but I'm trying to figure out how old my new model B is. I think it must be pre 55 because of the dual triggers. I can't find any date code on the receiver. I'm starting to think it's prewar but I'm not really sure. It doesn't really matter much, but it's become somewhat of a conversation piece and I'd like to know something about it. Here is a picture of the reciever with all the numbers I could find, hope it helps http://imgur.com/xGtJPCJ

Look at the bottom of the receiver near the hinge pin; there may be a small oval with a letter and a number inside. The letter is the date code: A=1949, B=1950, etc. Sometimes they're faint and hard to read. If there's no date code there's no way to tell the age that I know of; no code means pre-1949. Those numbers and letters on the inside I'm told are some sort of production or lot numbers and don't relate to the date.

What is the address on the barrels?

Utica, NY 1940-46
Chicopee Falls, Mass. 1947-1960
Westfield, Mass. 1961 - 1987

Double trigger versions of the Model B were offered through 1982.

There is no date stamp on the bottom of the receiver, only a # sign. It says Utica NY on the barrel, so I guess that puts it 40—46. Thanks guys!
