Question on 16ga Sterlingworth choke dimensions.

Picked up a 16ga. Sterlingworth last weekend at an auction.
Bores too large for my smaller Skeets gauge and my larger gauge, barely fits through the chokes.
Measured them several times, but the choke constriction may not be perfect.
Rt Barrel: .662" Bore - Choke .035"
Lt Barrel: .662" Bore - Choke .035"
Both show a longish taper which is proper for Fox's as I recall.
Question: Were matching, tight chokes common? I have owned a couple Sterlingworth 12ga's and the right barrel was much more open.
Thanks for any help satisfying my curiosity.
