Very nice Dave! Has there been enough rain for productive habitat development?

Aint seen a drop since I got home from Hausemann's!! Temps predicted to be in the 90s most of this week and triple digits Sunday to Tuesday. My Wife has been complaining it is too hot up in Kodiak!!

DNR doesn't even have all the new hires for this summer trained and we have several fires going already!! Oh... and our snow pack last winter was 10% of normal.

Warms my heart and quickens my pulse seeing the babies.

I am getting reports of lots of baby bobs in the Texas Panhandle. The drought is over. If the bobs are back all is right with my world.

Quail are one of my favorite birds to hunt. Add in a good dog and a small bore SXS and everything is right in the world. What I wouldn't give to hunt wild Quail again. Maybe a winter trip through TX and into AZ it is after all what dreams are made of:)

Have had several reports of lots of baby bobs the last few days. This could be a very good season.

I'm looking forward to going to south Georgia the end of January. We did hit a wild covey but that is the exception to the rule. Two new Quail guns this year, an upgraded SW 16ga and a WR Pape 28ga hammer gun to go along with the Fox FE 410. Someday wild birds for sure.
