Single Trigger Question?
While at a local gunshow last weekend, I came across a 20 ga. AE with late style engraving. ( can't recall the ser. no.) The gun didn't have a Kautsky type trigger, with the button. Instead, it selected the barrel to fire with the forward or rearward movement of the safety. I recall seeing a similar one on one of the auction websites in the recent past. Does anyone know if Fox ever installed this type of trigger or was it aftermarket? If so, who made it? Also, if anybody has any experience with this type, how reliable is it? I'm not a single trigger fan, but I liked the gun otherwise. Would appreciate any info on this. Thanks,Fred

Thanks Jim,
The AE at Pugs has a selector button on the left of the top lever ( I've never seen that configuration before, interesting). The one I was looking at selected the barrel with the saftey. I think forward was right and slid back toward the shooter was left barrel first, maybe.

With the selector being the safety slide the trigger is most likely a Miller. Later Miller single selective triggers used a rocker in front of the trigger as the selector.
The single trigger with the selector slide along the left side of the top tang is the Infallible by the Lancaster Arms Co. In The Double Gun Journal, Volume Six, Issue 4, Tom Kidd did an article on an early CE-Grade 20-gauge with the Infallible trigger.
